It’s a great time of year to get outside and enjoy the beautiful fall colors and cooler temps! Whether you’re looking to go apple picking, get in the Halloween spirit, or get in a few games of golf, you’ll find it all in Fitchburg. Our Fall Favorites this year features some new events and can’t-miss destinations.
Eplegaarden
Get your family and friends together for a trip to Eplegaarden. This charming apple orchard let’s visitors pick fresh apples off the trees and pick pumpkins from their pumpkin patch. You’ll find a variety of apples in the orchard that change throughout the fall season, including Zestar, GingerGold, Gala, Fuji, Honeycrisp, Cortland and more. If you’re not up to picking your own, you can always get a bag or two of pre-picked apples. Be sure to stop by the Farm Store while you’re there and pick up some fresh apple cider, apple cider donuts and honey!
Hop Haus Beer Run
Take part in the first official Hop Haus Beer Run on October 16th! Taking place at Fitchburg’s newest brewery, The Hop Haus, this event will have a 5K run/walk and a 21 and older Beer Mile. Participants of the 5K will receive a free pint of Hop Haus beer post race. But if you're looking for a challenge, and more beer, then we suggest you to check out the Beer Mile. All 5K participants and spectators are encouraged to stay and enjoy the Beer Mile because it's definitely going to be a sight to see! Stick around for the after party at the Hop Haus, with a free beer for those 21+, or free soda, and a performance from Soggy Prairie.
Madison Makers Market
Halloween Edition
Madison Makers Market returns to Delta Beer Lab on October 23rd for some Halloween fun! Costumes are encouraged! Over a dozen local crafters will showcase their goods from 3:00pm - 8:00pm. Vengan Pa’Ka and other food trucks will be on site, and of course there will be beer available for purchase from Delta! This is an all ages, family friendly event. Vendors will be in costumes and some will be selling Halloween merchandise, as well. No tickets are needed to attend, just save the date and start working on your costume!

Fitchburg Farms
Create a festive Fall arrangement with help from Fitchburg Farms. With a huge selection of pumpkins and gourds of all shapes and sizes and mums in every color, you can find great outdoor decor for every porch and patio. They also have a great selection of indoor plants, if you want to bring a little greenery inside this winter!
Nine Springs Golf
For a great way to enjoy the fall weather and foliage, get a round of golf in at Nine Springs Golf and Disc Course. Nine Springs is just one mile south of the Beltline, off of Fish Hatchery Road, in the heart of Fitchburg. The nine hole Par-30 layout provides playability for the novice, yet still has enough hazards to challenge even the most skilled players. You can also play disc golf on the course!
