Five New Bicycle Friendly Businesses in Fitchburg

Fitchburg is now tenth for Bike Friendly Businesses in the nation, and was recognized by the League of American Bicyclists! Fitchburg submitted seven applications for the current round of awards, tied for the most of any municipality in the nation and exceeded by only one state.

The Mayor will present the awardees their Bicycle Friendly Business (BFB) plaques at her Bike to Work with the Mayor event on National Bike to Work Day, Friday, May 17.  That event will start with assembly at 7:00am at the McKee Farms Park BCycle station (near the main shelter), and will include a short ride to City Hall at 7:15am and brief remarks, including BFB award presentations, at City Hall about 7:30am.

The Bike to Work with the Mayor event will include the demonstration of Cycling Without Age "trishaws" (electric-assist tricycles with front bench seats for two passengers) of the type for which Bike Fitchburg will fund-raising in 2024.
