Morgan’s Caring Connection, Inc., a newly established nonprofit organization headquartered in Verona, Wisconsin, proudly announces the awarding of its first Special Needs Trust Grant to Jennifer Marquissee, mother of Madelyn Crossman.
Founded in February 2024, Morgan’s Caring Connection (MCC) is dedicated to empowering families with special needs dependents by providing essential financial support to cover legal fees for wills, trusts, special needs trusts, powers of attorney, and other critical documents. These provisions are not optional but necessary to ensure the long-term financial stability and care of special needs dependents when their loved ones are no longer able to do so. Our mission is to give families peace of mind, knowing their loved ones will be taken care of.
Under the leadership of its founders and Board of Directors, MCC has quickly established itself as a key resource for families, streamlining access to the support they need to address both current and future challenges. MCC has built a vetted network of trusted professionals, including estate planning attorneys, financial advisors, and other specialists, who are dedicated to helping families navigate the complexities of special needs planning. In addition, thanks to generous donations, MCC provides financial assistance to help alleviate the burden of long-term planning expenses.
“Our daughter Morgan is the driving force behind our organization,” remarked Kelly Strutt, Morgan’s mom, Co-Founder, and Board of Directors President. “Inspired by our family's journey, we founded Morgan's Caring Connection to bridge the gaps in available resources and financial support for families like ours. The uncertainty we faced with long-term planning, unaware of the full spectrum of resources at our disposal, motivated us to create a platform where support and information are readily accessible.”
The inaugural grant awarded to Jennifer Marquissee highlights MCC’s commitment to offering practical assistance to families navigating the complexities of special needs planning. Jennifer, as the mother of Madelyn Crossman, has utilized the grant to secure a joint trust, Pour-Over Will, General Power of Attorney, Living Will and other critical documents for Jennifer and Ryan, along with a Special Needs Trust and Powers of Attorney for Madelyn, ensuring a stable future for the entire family.
“We are thrilled to announce the award of our first grant to Jennifer and Madelyn,” stated Janis Strutt, Morgan’s bonus mom, Co-Founder, and Executive Director. “This grant exemplifies our dedication to offering meaningful support to families facing similar challenges. At Morgan’s Caring Connection, we believe that together, we can provide peace of mind and ensure a brighter future for families with special needs dependents.”
Morgan’s Caring Connection invites individuals and families to join them in their mission to empower families of individuals with special needs. Whether seeking information, support, or ways to contribute, MCC stands ready to serve as a beacon of hope and assistance.
