JOIN THE BIKE THE 'BURG CHALLENGE
The Bike the 'Burg Challenge is a great way to get moving, get outdoors and explore the local area! Participants will be challenged to log 150 miles from April-September, 2026. (We’re on the honor system!) You can keep track of you miles on your own using any method that works for you. You could use an app like Strava or in an excel file, or whatever is easiest for you! Registrants will be entered into several drawings and eligible to win fabulous prizes from local businesses!

All proceeds from the sales of 2026 Bike the 'Burg tees will go to Cycling Without Age Fitchburg, a local non-profit on a mission to offer people who cannot ride a bike themselves an opportunity to feel the wind in their hair as they ride as a passenger on a trishaw with a certified, trained pilot. Their goal is to raise $40,000 for two trishaws, a trailer, and necessary safety accessories, including lights and helmets.

Celebrate Trails Day
Celebrate Trails Day 2026 with a pit stop at the Velo UnderRound with Bike Fitchburg! Enjoy non-alcoholic drinks and snacks, pick up bike maps, and learn how to help advocate for biking and walking that's safer, easier, more fun, and more equitable in Fitchburg!
May 6th
Summer Rides For Joe
The summer rides are in memory of Joe Imilkowski, long-time Fitchburg resident and avid bicyclist. Helmets are required. Rides will start and end at the Fitchburg Senior Center, taking place the first Wednesday of each month, May-October at 10:00am.
May 15th
Bike To Work With The Mayor
Celebrate Bike Month and National Bike to Work Day with a bike ride to work with the Mayor! Participants will gather at 7:00 a.m. at the McKee Farms Park BCycle station and will include a 1-mile ride to City Hall The event is free and all are invited!
May 22nd
Bike Your Brat To Work Day
Join Bike Fitchburg for Bike Your Brat to Work! Those arriving by bike get two Brat Bucks, courtesy of Saris Equipment! Cyclists can meet at the Southwest Path bridge at 5:00 am for a 10-mile slow roll to Willow Island, or join in along the way!
