Dawley Conservancy is a 42-acre Fitchburg conservation area that is part of a larger system of public lands. The Capital City State Trail runs through the property and is a great place for bicyclists to take a break.

This is one of Fitchburg’s oldest parks and it contains a 2-acre woodland that has large oak trees, reminiscent of the oak savannas that once dominated the landscape.

The eastern side of the park contains a tall grass area and a 2-acre wooded area. The remaining parkland is open with paved trails.

 


mcgawMCGAW PARK

McGaw Park is the largest park in Fitchburg. The park is used for community events such as softball tournaments. The shelter can be reserved for picnics and gatherings for up to 100 people. This park is well suited for organized league activities.


Kids Crossing Dream ParkMCKEE FARMS PARK
2930 Chapel Valley Road

Home of Kids’ Crossing Dream Playground & the Fitchburg Splash Pad. McKee Farms Park is home to several events and festivals throughout the year, including Concerts at McKee, Fitchburg Days and Festa Italia.

The Park is easily accessible by the Capital City Bike Trail.

This park provides access to Quarry Ridge Mountain Bike Trail & Free Ride Area and the Military Ridge State Trail.
